| Again, we have LOTS of new info!!! The IMSM points
season has come to a close after its 3 races, I'm still waiting on the
final results. The NLC Car Show went INCREDIBLY well for both NLC
and us! Our own Alex Kucha took 3rd place
in 90-99 domestic with the Doperide and Greg Wright
took 1st place!!! On top of that, Team Octane took Best Team In
Show by just a slim margin of one tenth of a point over a tuner
club. It was some tight competition and NLC did a GREAT job
hosting the show. Pics to come shortly.
About a month and a half ago, Team Octane finally started to build
the Southern Chapter by adding our new member Greg with his 2001
Official Pace Car Grand Prix GTP and his 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp
G. Since then, Greg has traded in his Comp G for a 2005 Black GTO!!
It's one sharp car, and he went all the way down to Georgia to get
it. There should be pics soon!
At the NLC show, Team Octane was also fortunate to meet the 2nd place
winner in 90-99 domestic. She was excited to meet Team Octane and
quickly took it upon herself to find out more about us. We are now
proud to announce that Carri is our newest member to the Southern
Chapter of Team Octane. She comes to us with a sweet white 1997
Camaro Z-28, adding to Team Octane's powerful "Camaro
Collection".
In our most recent Team Octane outing to Byron Dragway, we hosted Cub
Scout Pack 49 in a drag day for the kids. Thank you to everyone
who showed up with their kids, to race, or to watch. It was a
GREAT success and kids had a blast with us and our friends. We
were able to teach the young children many things about how cars work
and how the racing works. It was a very rewarding day for us all,
and we would like to personally thank Mike Arnott for having put the
event together!
Coming up just this weekend, Team Octane will be in Bloomington
representing in a car show fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes. This
is going to be a great show and it benefits a great cause, so if you can
get to the show, please do! |

| Got some updates to announce!! Team Octane has
gained 3 new members since the last news post. First we have Kenny
with his 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 in silver, Zack with his 2004 Ford Focus
ZX-3 in dark metallic silver, and new to the Southern Illinois Chapter
of Team Octane is Greg with his 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G in
black. There should be pics of all 3 very soon.
Next on the list of announcements is we have finally posted our
summer schedule! You can find it here.
You should be able to find us at these events and MORE so keep your eyes
here for what else Team Octane will be attending that is not on the
schedule.

| OK! So, we have new pics of cool stuff up. World
of Wheels 05 pictures are up. Thanks to Bobo for playing
photographer this year. He captured some awesome cars. I
think we should also be getting some Chicago Auto Show 05 pics soon as
well. Other than that, make sure you check out our constantly
growing Car Clubs page. Bobo's
new cutty pics are also up. The car needs a little work, but
its an old Cutty, so its definitely got potential!!! Also, the Byron
Dragway 2005 schedule is up. Besides that, make sure you join

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Ok, now that I covered that, there is a TON of new stuff going on!! First
off, congratulations to ZACH on the purchase of a new
vehicle. He bought a Silvermist 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP and no longer
has the 1991 Lumina Z-34. That was a great car, but now he's on to bigger
FASTER things.
Team Octane and friends recently took a trip to Chicago Indoor Racing in Buffalo
Grove. WHAT A BLAST!! We had 12 racers run in 3 points races for
positions in the Championship race in which 3 of our own members took the
podium. Congrats to Bobby in 3rd, Steve-O
in 2nd, and Tha Kuch who took First place. Big
props to Alex for having set up the whole event in the
first place. You
can see pics from the track here. Thanks for the pics Bobo!
And finally, Alex also threw a "Get Crunk" New Years party at his new

A few news updates since our last. Grand Prix Gathering was absolutely
incredible! Brian took home his first trophies. One for placing
second in the 88-96 Modified category and one for his 136.1 dB reading in the dB
Drag which earned him second place.
Team Octane hosted Next Level Chicago and friends at Byron on September 19th for
the First Annual Team Octane Nationals. Unfortunately, perfect weather
conditions were outdone by not-so-perfect track conditions. All in all
however it was a lot of fun and we had an EXCELLENT turnout. Byron gave us
2 staging lanes and even hosted our brackets. Gino with his gorgeous 1968
Camaro SS took home the trophy for Best of Show and Mikey's breakout in the Drag
Finals also gave Gino the win trophy. Next Level Chicago has also invited Team
Octane to a drag day at Great Lakes Dragway on October 24th. There should
be pictures of all these events up soon, so check back soon!

| Okay, so its been quite a while since the last update.... Steve-O
finally has some great pics up from Team Octane's first day at the track this
season. There are more pics from the track that day, Mikey's
car, Alex's car, and Jeff's new
mods coming shortly! There should soon also be some fresh group outing
pics cuz ZACH is coming back up to the S-Wood very soon! Stay tuned for
more pictures and also a BIG update about Team Octane. |

| Welcome back everyone! Sorry about that week long downtime we had, our
server went belly up and left us stranded. Unfortunately, because of this,
all of the forum information was lost, so we are back to square 1 with
discussions on the forum. That just gives everyone a chance to bring up
the same topics over again! Other than that, we have officially added a
second chapter to Team Octane, the Southern Illinois Chapter (SOIL). This
chapter is directed by long time member, Zach Shafer and is based out of
Chatsworth, IL. It covers the Chatsworth area and spreads to the
Champaign/Urbana, IL area. Check out the
SOIL site. So, new visitors
and old, please sign up in the forum

| Tons of new stuff!!!! First of all, one of our
oldest members FINALLY has pictures of his DopeRide Sebring up!
Alex's car is unbelievable with his rims, his system,
his a/v stuff, and his brand new graphics!! Next, we have a returning
member, Bob with his new 2003 Ford Escort ZX2. He
just got some sweet headlight and tail light overlays and a ton of neon
lighting. Lastly, we took tons of pictures this weekend, so there are some
new pics of Alex, Bob, and
Mike to check out along with a bunch of
group pictures taken today. There's more to
come soon, so keep coming back often. And

That's right, ALL NEW TEAM OCTANE!! Keep your eyes open everyone, spring
is comin up quick and you can see on the right side there, the track is opening
soon! That means, there's going to be events, pictures, and new personal
best times!!! We would like to welcome our newest member, Josh,
with his 03 Mazda 6 in blue. We should have pictures of that ride up real
soon. Also, we are starting to build a HUGE waiting list of potential Team
Octane members. The crew is going to grow quickly, and if you don't keep
up, you're going to miss something! That said, hope you like the new

Ok, this is long overdue. We have some sweet news for Team
Octane!! Lets address it in its timely order. January 20, 2004 Jeff
took delivery of his 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4!! This
thing is fully loaded and just beautiful. There are pics, but they just
don't do the color justice! You'll have to see it when we start arranging
events for the quickly approaching summer. Next, Team Octane now has 2
official Sponsors! CAR CRAZY
sells car parts as well as great looking NASCAR apparel! Next, our custom
Team Octane gear is coming from In House. They make custom apparel
with YOUR design. Look above for more information on both!!! Other
than that, keep your eyes open for new pics of old members and soon we should
have more new members!! The racing season is coming, so also watch the
forum for our Team Events. We will be hooking up with locals Team Xtreme
for track days, shows, cruise nights and more!!!!

| Team Octane goes to Great Lakes Dragway in Wisconson, aka "Da
Grove"! What a great day we had. The air was cool, the sun was bright, and
there were a bunch of gorgeous cars! Matt, Mike, Donny's dad, and Steve-O were
among our group who tested thier cars vs. the 1/4 mile. Steve-O popped his
'track cherry' with a super fast car, earning both the name "Super
Steve-O" and "f***er!". Thanks Mike for the shirt!! We had a
great day, and there will surely be more to come! Track Pics HERE

guys, welcome back! Due to popular demand, I have added more contact information
to the Contact Info page. From there you can find out how to email, AIM message,
and Yahoo message our members if you would like to talk to them! Also, Zach has
been taking some HUGE pics of his car lately, and they look really good, so
those will be up soon. Finally, we should be getting an offical new member soon,
Neal with his gorgeous red 96 Cobra. Ill be posting his pic here soon so you can
get a glimpse of what is to come! OH, I also just wanted to apologize for the
down time. With the new website up, and it being new, I had no idea what kind of
bandwidth we would be using, but that should be totally cleared up now and

| First
update for the year 2003. Im sorry, its been a while since I have put anything
up. However, I have posted the first pics of Bobby's SVT Cobra.
Make sure you check those out. Now, the big news. I have FINALLY purchased
www.teamoctane.com again and I am in the works of getting a server put together,
so I PROMISE that teamoctane.com should be up VERY shortly. By very shortly, I
mean within the next couple weeks! Its about time, RIGHT?! Make sure you stop by
the guestbook and let me know how you think everything is coming along. You will
all be updated when the website gets launched. As soon as the website gets
going, we will be posting a new section to the website. Its going to be a
"HOW TO" section that will show detailed descriptions on repairs and
mods to Grand Prixs, Mustangs, and whatever other mods we end up doing. Check
back soon!

website overhaul is truly beginning. I have begun to make use of Microsoft
FrontPage. You will see in the near future that the website will be much more
user friendly and easier to navigate. Please bear with any links that may
temporarily not work while I put together the necessary pages to get this site
looking really good. Hopefully soon, after I get used to using the software, we
should be getting www.teamoctane.com going. Thanks for your patience.

For
now, check out the new Team Octane page. Other than
that, the Team Octane site may be finding a new home soon because the bastards
here at ANGELFIRE decided to change the alloted disk space from 50MB to 20MB
without warning, and considering that we are already using 18MB+, we wont be
able to do much more here. SO, until I can get www.teamoctane.com off the
ground, we might be finding a new web server. I will keep everyone posted, and
if we do move, I will be sure to leave a link here for everyone. If anyone has
ANY SUGGESTIONS, by all means, let me know.
